FYROM's (Former Republic Of Macedonia), hope of joining NATO could be dashed if it fails to settle a name problem with Greece.
Greece has threatened a veto to FYROM's plans if its northern neighbor does not change its self given name (Macedonia) and agree to a new one.
"We have to realize that Greece is a staunch ally.Aspiring nations are not members and that is a basic difference" said Jaap de Hoop Scheffer after talks with Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, in Athens.

Russia and China scuttled a Western attempt to introduce a resolution on Iran's nuclear defiance at a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The desicion appeared as a result the two world powers about not being informed earlier of plans of such a resolution.
It came a day after the U.N. Security Council imposed another round of sanctions on Iran for refusing to suspend uranium enrichment.

Hillary Clinton took the most votes in Texas and Ohio that were considered critical to keeping alive her White House hopes.
In Ohio Clinton had 54% of the vote compared to 44% for Barack Obama.
In Texas Clinton had 51% to Obama's 48%.
